Consultis, a premier Executive Technical Search and IT Staffing Firm with the single focus of pairing the right candidate with the right employment opportunity is currently searching for a Chief Information Officer (CIO) for a Direct Hire opportunity (FTE) with our Charlotte based client.

Position Overview:

You will be responsible for providing technology leadership and management of technology systems and services, directing the Company’s strategic technology direction, development, and future growth.  Participates as a member of the senior management team in strategic and operational planning and provides technological guidance.   This position is responsible for the direct supervision of the corporate IT team, and the indirect supervision of all IT employees globally.  The CIO is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these departments.  You will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. 

Requirements/Responsibilities:

  • Leads IT strategic and operational planning to achieve organizational goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment and management of the current and future systems across the organization
  • Develops long-term plans and sets the tactical direction for the technology needs of the company
  • Oversees technology-related programs and change management initiatives
  • Develops and leads long-term strategy to transition to the appropriate ERP environment, including optimizing interim access to transactional financial, sales and operational data
  • Directs development and execution of enterprise-wide cyber security and IT disaster recovery/business continuity plan
  • Researches trends and issues in the industry, including innovative technologies and associated costs, and advises senior management of any competitive impacts and risks
  • Works with executive management and operations to improve efficiency and productivity through development and introduction of business processes, applications and systems
  • Creates, tracks and controls the IT annual operating budget and capital budgets for the organization, including preparation and presentation of business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives
  • Promotes and oversees strategic relationships between internal IT and other functional groups
  • Benchmarks, analyzes, and recommends improvements to the IT infrastructure
  • Administers the IT-related elements of all yearly audits, both internal and external, and works with Internal Audit to ensure effective compliance testing; also ensures compliance with relevant HIPAA and SOX regulations
  • Leads the IT functional aspects of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and integrations
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising, performance, rewarding, disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems

Required Qualification or Skills:

  • BA or BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related business field
  • Minimum of fifteen years’ increasingly responsible management and operational experience in Information Technology with a broad range of experience in various technology areas
  • Experience in effectively managing teams at an executive level
  • Must possess extensive experience in strategic planning and execution 
  • Must possess experience operating IT in a manufacturing environment
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Must be team oriented and have excellent collaboration skills
  • Must be able and willing to travel to various sites as necessary
  • Experience with IT aspects of mergers and acquisitions and integration 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Familiarity with multiple systems (QAD, Business Warehouse, Access Database, Business Intelligence, Cognos, Oracle, etc.)

Additional Nice to have Skills (A PLUS):

  • Master’s in Business Administration, or similar advanced degree
