Job Description

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Install, manage, and maintain network LAN, WAN, and security infrastructure including concentrations in data center, routing and switching, wireless, firewall, VPN, web proxy, and identity services. Engineer II should be able to handle advanced tasks without supervision

• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for any system assigned. Employee can expect to perform in-depth research and support on configurations, supported services, site-specific documentation troubleshooting, and internal training

• Participate in project and system integration activities with other IT teams including UNIX, database, Windows, telecommunications, web, branch technology, and security administrators; help desk and desktop support, and software developers • Identify network system monitoring and proactive alerting requirements for major alarms and events; coordinate corrective actions with Network Operations Center, administrators, vendors, and business partners as necessary

• Analyze and recommend different sorts of architectural networking system, assessment of hardware and software related problem and resolve issues.

• Coordinate with customers and workers on al high level security projects.

• Evaluate security process on processing units and facilitate growth oriented program.

• Provide technical support to enhance proper device controlling systems.

• Design security strategy in sphere of new networking fields.

• Determine engineering needs and recommend appropriate changes for proposals.

• Provide engineering network services to ensure high graded customer service.

• Maintain and implement security strategy and standardization methods.

• Analyze all records and recommend solutions for clientele based networking security measures.

• Provide technical support to log aggregation set-up and assist in all response measures.

• Prepare designs for improvement of network detection tools.

• Participate in configuration and management program to install updated security tools.

• Administer all security reviews on newly launched application as per requirement.

• Provide operational backup round the clock.

• Manage and resolve networking issues at time of problem detection. 

Qualifications, Core Competencies and Certifications:

• At least 5 years of experience

• Preferred professional certification include; FCNSP, CCNP, CISSP, SSCP,CEH, GIAC, Security + , OSCP.

• Extensive Hybrid Infrastructure Security experience

• Demonstrated understanding of information security concepts, standards, practices,  including but not limited to firewalls, intrusion prevention and detection, TCP/IP and related protocols, device monitoring and log management and event monitoring/reporting

• Experience in LAN and WAN technologies, network design, network management etc.

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, access control lists, firewalls, VPN, NAT and network traffic analysis.

• Strong organizational skill and be able to attend to and prioritize projects.

• Demonstrable analytical and technical aptitude with focus on identify and alleviating the root cause of the issue; solves the whole problem.

• Proven ability to thrive and respond to frequent demands of multiple constituents, both internal and external, in a customer centric manner and high demand environment.
