Job Responsibilities & Essential Job Functions

  • Oversees the Business Analyst and Project Manager employees, which includes the BA Lead and their team.
  • Performs quarterly and annual reviews for direct reports and ensures all department members are receiving quarterly reviews
  • Reviews overall department competencies against existing department change growth and then modifies and communicates the competency expectations with the department.
  • Develops and coaches associates to achieve maximum performance with a strong customer focus.
  • Provides support, coaching and development to Client Services that are direct reports as well as direct report Manager(s). Supports the direct report Manager(s) in the development of their team members to achieve performance goals and objectives.
  • Works with key resources to develop training plans and credentialing of department members including encouragement of participating in educational workshops and webinars
  • Establishes metrics and measures against performance standards to meet client expectations and service goals of the organization.
  • Identifies and recommends modifications to workflow to streamline business processes to improve customer service and overall customer experience.
  • Oversees IT operational forecasting, scheduling, and reporting
  • Ensures maximum utilization of resources to achieve service level and financial objectives.
  • Understands resource allocation and utilization and coordinates the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to the work plan.
  • Provides day-to-day direction for IT customer service functions, service level management, relationship management, and vendor management.
  • Evaluates, develops and implements procedures and systems to deliver effective customer service for all internal and external customers and monitors customer satisfaction.
  • Provide status reports on overall department successes and monitors metrics for areas of improvement for the department and the software delivery life cycle.
  • Helps to create an overall roadmap for the business analysis area
  • Assists with the development of the organizations requirements priorities, procedures and tools
  • Participates in reviewing and sponsors implementation of a requirements management tool to facilitate change management and quality testing


  • 5+ years in a leadership role
  • Extensive experience gathering and documenting system requirements and functional design for information technology projects
  • Extensive experience developing, maintaining and delivering end user training
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows tools, including VISIO
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Projects or other project management platform
  • Experience in formal project management or product management.
  • Strong understanding and use of project management methodologies leveraging expertise in project management principles, theories, tools, applications and SDLC Methodology.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in hiring, on-boarding, developing, and coaching associates
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience working with agile methods of delivery.
  • Knowledge of the P&C insurance industry
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is a plus
